January 24, 2024 – Today marks another milestone for Healthy Infrastructure (‘HI’) as the sustainability leader joins forces with EnvisionSQ, the visionary creators of SmogStop, to introduce a new pollution barrier system, used as a replacement to traditional noise barriers for the North American marketplace.

Healthy Infrastructure, a member of the Vision Noise Barrier Group, is known in the Transportation Industry for its growing portfolio of healthier, safer, and more sustainable infrastructure solutions.

"Our team at Hi is working to address all areas of sustainability – from solar to green walls, and now air quality. We look to our natural resources and the renewable technologies that exist in adjacent sectors and apply them to specific applications within the transportation sector,” shares Mark Murphy, Director, Healthy Infrastructure. He continues that: “It was only a matter of time that Hi and EnvisionSQ partner together. Our expertise in the design and supply of sustainable construction solutions across the US and Canada, coupled with SmogStop’s ability to improve air quality, affords us a unique position. We are bringing a much-needed air quality solution to the noise barrier marketplace.”

It is through collaborations with industry experts that Healthy Infrastructure provides solutions to address the gaps that exist in today’s road building and construction industry. As a result of this partnership, a tried and tested noise barrier system is combined with the patented SmogStop technology that releases cleaner air back into the environment while maintaining it’s noise mitigation properties.

“Through a process of decomposition by light, the SmogStop coating works with the transparent panel to breakdown the air that passes through the barrier,” explains Scott Shayko from EnvisionSQ. “It is through the barrier’s double-walled design and angled baffle that direct emissions between the two walls and the pollutant break down occurs.” Scott also provided comment on the partnership: “We look forward to a successful partnership with Healthy Infrastructure, who understands the value in fostering sustainable infrastructure solutions that will leave a lasting positive impact on the environment, communities, and the industry as a whole.”
